After move-in
Homeowner resources
Your home comes with project documents, equipment information and warranty materials specific to your agreement. Keep those records handy and use the project communication channel when you need help.
Find your project information
Use your Buildertrend sign-in → for project communications and documents made available there. The footer of this site also has the client sign-in.
Review your warranty packet
Your signed agreement, Express Limited Home Warranty and Performance Standards packet explain the applicable coverage, standards, exclusions and request process. Refer to those documents for the terms that govern your home.
Report an issue clearly
Describe the location, when you first noticed it and whether it is changing. Photos and equipment details help the team assess the issue. Use the service route in your warranty materials or your established project channel.
Maintain the home
Keep manufacturer information and maintenance instructions for equipment, finishes and exterior materials. Routine care helps you protect the home and distinguish maintenance from a service concern.
At move-in: keep these close
Walkthrough notes
Keep your final walkthrough record and the agreed follow-up items together so everyone can track what remains.
Home and equipment information
Locate manuals, model numbers, shutoffs, filters and operating instructions for the systems installed in your home.
Project and warranty documents
Save your agreement, approved changes, warranty packet and any product warranties in a place you can find later.
How to reach the team
Confirm your Buildertrend access and the service request instructions in your packet before you need them.
If something needs urgent attention
For an immediate life-safety concern, contact the appropriate emergency service. If a system is actively leaking or unsafe, take reasonable steps to protect people and property, contact the relevant emergency provider, and notify Macaw through the service process in your documents.
